Whether you're showing your Mustang, taking on the Driving Experience, cruising the Shine Run, or cheering from the sidelines, registration is quick and easy. Most event activities open online before the event, while select experiences offer onsite registration. Find everything you need below and secure your spot at PITS27.

VIP PACKAGE
Maximize your 2027 Ponies In The Smokies experience by registering for The "200 Proof" VIP Package! This is a convenient way to register for multiple venues in a discounted bundle.
Car Show
Showcase your Mustang in one of the country's premier indoor and outdoor Ford and Mustang car show. Register for the outside car show or apply for one of the special indoor themed displays to see who brings home a coveted jug or still.
Trailer Parking
Reserve a secure trailer parking space before arriving in Sevierville. Trailer parking is available for registered participants and helps make transporting your Mustang to and from the event easy and convenient.
Shine Run
Experience one of the most popular attractions at Ponies in the Smokies. Register through the official Shine Run App to access participating stops, complete GPS check-ins with QR codes, build your poker hand electronically, and become eligible for prizes throughout the event.
Fun Runs
Experience the excitement of taking your Mustang around the Newport Speedway during guided Fun Runs. Perfect for enthusiasts looking to enjoy the track in a controlled, non-competitive environment. Reserve your spot online before sessions fill up.
Driving School
Take your Mustang to the next level with the PITS Driving Experience. From BFGoodrich Driving School and Autocross to Fun Runs on the speedway, participants receive professional instruction and plenty of track time. Advance registration is recommended, as sessions have limited availability.
Autocross
Put your driving skills to the test on a technical autocross course designed to challenge drivers of all experience levels. Advance online registration is recommended to reserve your run group before the event.
Dyno
See what your Mustang is putting down on the rollers with live dyno pulls throughout the event. Registration takes place on-site at the dyno trailer and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Drifting
Watch skilled drivers slide through every corner or ride along for the thrill of a lifetime. On-site registration for ride alongs will be available day of the event.
Burnout Competition
Can you bring the smoke to win over the crowd? Sign up on-site for the Burnout Competition and compete for one of the weeks most exciting spectator events. Entry is limited and available while spots remain.
Drag Racing
Take your Mustang down the quarter mile during the PITS Drag Racing event at Knoxville Dragway. Participants register on-site for Test & Tune and applicable racing classes before competing.
King of the Smokies
Compete for the ultimate title by taking on multiple driving disciplines throughout the weekend. Participants earn points across select events to determine who will be crowned the King of the Smokies. Submissions are done in advance and the Top 10 drivers and cars are selected to compete.
New Vendors
Returning vendors receive an invitation with registration details directly each year, but there's always room for new companies at PITS. Showcase your products and connect with thousands of Mustang enthusiasts during one of the nation's largest Mustang events. First time vendors apply here to become part of the official PITS vendor marketplace.
Volunteer
Help make Ponies in the Smokies a success by joining our volunteer team. Assist with parking, judging, event operations or attendee support on Friday and Saturday. Approved volunteers will receive additional event information before the show.
